I wonder how this payroll trickery will impact social security tax payments by Instacart… or unemployment insurance premiums by Instacart… or workers’ compensation insurance premiums paid by Instacart?
Suppressing the accurate payroll and labor costs has a lot of trickle down impacts which should end in a large bucket labeled “fraud”.
Not to mention the even larger bucket labeled ‘assholery’. Businesses that treat their employees in such wise soon wind up with employees that aren’t worth having.
