Seattle Passes Smaller ‘Head Tax’ on Big Companies After Impassioned Debate

The basic problem is that the tax-eaters in Seattle see ‘corporations’ as cash cows to be milked for ever-increasing welfare entitlements, and the city government uses those entitlements to buy votes. It’s the U.S. Congress in miniature. That’s why it only applies to ‘corporations’ over a certain size (the size where the number of small-business owners, i.e. voters, wouldn’t scream).
