This is the final stage of the natural bias of proglodytes toward equality of condition. Proglodytes have given lip-service to ‘merit’ until now, but they are beginning to realize that ‘merit’ fundamentally means that sometimes Deplorables are going to win out over Fashionable Victim Groups, and this they cannot allow. The War on Competition has produced, in addition to creeping socialism, such dreck as ‘participation trophies’; the War on Meritocracy is next up. ‘When everyone is Somebody then no one’s anybody.’
