Facing the Crocodile That Ate My Wife

5th February 2015

Read it.

Four months ago, Demeteriya Nabire was killed by a crocodile when she went to the lake near her home to fetch water. The animal later came back to the area but found Nabire’s husband waiting, ready to take revenge.

Not something you read about every day.

I can’t help comparing this to the King of Jordan’s reaction to his pilot being burned alive. It’s the very human response that is responsible for preserving the species. When your family is attacked by a beast, you forge a weapon capable of killing it, swallow your fear, and wade in for the kill. Negotiations and empty threats mean nothing to a crocodile – or to ISIS.
