Bleach is for Troglodytes

Lileks looks at modern White People culture.
For example: using bleach to clean school tables is apparently incompatible with being progressive. Progressive people don’t use bleach. I had no idea. First you will be gently instructed by a friend, I suppose; don’t you know about bleach? Then the friend will ask if you just don’t use any bleach around the house the day before her daughter comes over for a playdate? She gets headaches. Then the friends stop coming altogether, and it’s tight smiles and cool looks when you run into your friends in the produce aisle. Really, if you can’t figure out that you should have removed all bleach from your house, there’s just no hope for you.
Of course, you ought not to be hanging out with socialists, anyway, but I can see how that’s hard to avoid in Minnesota, where they take after The Old Country in politics.
