    Like all such remedies, it sounds great–until it gets loose into the general environment, at which time your cell-phones, cars, pipes, etc. will slowly disappear.

    They have a microbe that eats oil, also; they’ve experimented with it for cleaning up spills, but are just too leery to set it free. What happens if it escapes to land?

    If they can find a way to keep it in check, then I say Good For Them; they’ll have helped solve a big problem. But let us not forget that Kudzu was brought here to solve a problem, too.
