This is the sort of shallow thumb-sucker that passes for journalism these days. The question is not whether chivalry is dead, but rather whether there is any room for so traditional notion as chivalry in this narcissistic all-about-me can-you-top-that culture. A marriage proposal isn’t a potential entry in America’s Funniest Home Videos.
