Babylon Bee.
The natural world is teeming with God’s creative genius, engineering brilliance, and artistic beauty. Our only complaint? WE NEED MORE. Seriously–we’ve had the same animals since God created the universe. Would it hurt to get some new ones? We at the Babylon Bee are geniuses when it comes to thinking of new animal designs. Here are ten ideas.

According to The Washington Post, the top 10% of American income earners pay nearly half of all income taxes, compared with just 27% for the top 10% of Swedes, 31% for the top 10% of Germans, and 28% for France’s top 10%.
So what, precisely, does Biden mean by “pay their fair share”?
Perhaps he means simple sloganeering. Like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., donning a Cinderella ball gown emblazoned with the words “Tax the Rich” to the Met Gala—a dress made by Aurora James, a woman who owes tens of thousands of dollars in back taxes and who has received more than $40,000 in federal pandemic aid—class-warfare sloganeering is more about the sloganeering than the class warfare.
Low-Information Voters are the Democrat base.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 4 million Americans quit their jobs in July 2021. Resignations peaked in April and have remained abnormally high for the last several months, with a record-breaking 10.9 million open jobs at the end of July. How can employers retain people in the face of this tidal wave of resignations?
Addressing the root causes of these staggering statistics starts with better understanding them. To explore exactly who has been driving this recent shift, my team and I conducted an in-depth analysis of more than 9 million employee records from more than 4,000 companies.

In the space of one week, we have been subjected to the Met Gala, the Emmys, and the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly—three orgies of preening self-congratulation by disgraceful narcissists. Besides their total uselessness to society, these nauseating pageants have a few other things in common: they feature inane political statements by people with distinguished track records of feckless idiocy, they cost exponentially more money than they are worth, and they are forced relentlessly into our field of vision despite the fact that, if we have even a little dignity, we find them repulsive.
It has become standard practice to dismiss these sorts of spectacles as “irrelevant.” In one sense that is true: they are the farcical dying gasps of an American monoculture that was long ago hollowed out into a skin suit for entitled mediocrities to cover the nakedness of their souls. Though the Emmys’ ratings ticked up slightly this year, their overall pattern this millennium has been one of steady decline. Your average American has far more pressing things to do than mire his psyche in the interminable transcript of Biden’s speech to the U.N., and practically the only thing anyone has seen of the Met Gala was that dress AOC wore.

orget what you hear most pundits saying about last week’s recall election that failed to unseat California Governor Gavin Newsom. Some Democrats think because Newsom ran on an anti-Trump platform that will bring the party success — or cause them less damage — in the next two elections.
They are wrong. The real story is the slow but gaining-in-speed exodus from California to states with lower or no state taxes. This mass exit likely reduced the number of people who might have voted to oust Newsom. Then there’s the rising cost of just about everything, including gasoline. At nearly $6 a gallon at some stations in the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles, California has the highest average price for gas in the nation.

Democratic leaders in the House are backing a measure to provide U.S. assistance to Iraqi militia groups that are known to be dominated by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
A Democrat-led amendment to the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act, the sprawling annual bill that funds U.S. military operations around the world, would permit U.S. funding for Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, a confederation of militia groups that work alongside the corps’s Quds Force, Iran’s paramilitary fighting brigade.
The amendment, authored by Rep. Brad Sherman (D., Calif.), was slipped into a larger package of measures that are backed by Democratic leadership and expected to easily pass into the larger National Defense Authorization Act, which is set to be finalized this week.

In the present crisis, the culture of the ruling class is lacking the tools to address the problems, but it also lacks the sort of people who will look outside the system. It has been selecting for highly conservative people, with respect to the culture of the managerial class, for generations now. It is why the system violently vomited up Donald Trump and continues to dry heave over the memory of him. The culture of the ruling class is built around adversity to change.

The Other McCain weighs in.
Nearly all my fellow conservatives are shrieking in anger at MSNBC’s Joy Reid for saying something that is actually true: There is such a thing as “Missing White Woman Syndrome,” and we ought to call it out when — as in the case of Gabby Petito — it dominates the news cycle.
…
A blonde, blue-eyed “social media influencer” is not typical of murder victims, who are disproportionately male and black. During the month of August, when Gabby and her boyfriend were on their excursion across the West, 87 people were killed and 424 were wounded in Chicago. Did any of those Chicago victims make national news? Well, about 83% of the victims in Chicago were black, and none were blonde, blue-eyed 22-year-old “social media influencers.” Not newsworthy, you see?

Gender identity ideology began as a way to conceptualise transgender people. According to this belief system, they have a gender identity that doesn’t match the sex they were “assigned at birth”. This ideology currently has the endorsement of governments, educational institutions and NGOs worldwide — a state of affairs that has come about with remarkably little comment. Contradicting this dogma has become suddenly taboo, even via statements nobody would have considered controversial ten years ago, such as arguing that the national census should continue to collect data on people’s biological sex, or that sex itself is a fixed and binary characteristic.
In spite of the pressure, this summer has seen the publication of three new non-fiction books by “gender critical” feminist writers who oppose gender ideology.

The latest example of this is the fact that Iran has major, and expensive, problems in Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen. All these Iranian trouble spots are managed by the Iranian Quds Force as part of its ongoing wars against Israel and Saudi Arabia. None of these conflicts are doing well for Iran, which provides some comfort for the people in Syria, now being torn apart by its own endless civil war. The most damage to Iran is occurring in Syria. The core problem is that if Sunni Islamic terrorists remain in northwest Syria (Idlib province), while ISIL is active in eastern Syria and Iranians near the Israeli border, there will be no peace and rebuilding. While the Islamic terrorist and the Iranian presence persists, the Syrian civil war will not be over. Officially, Iran needs this civil war to end so they can concentrate on Israel. The key role of Iran in Syria has been noted and no one, not even Iranian allies, are cooperating with Iran. The only ones who cannot walk away from this are the Syrian Assad government, Turkey and Israel.

The sudden crossing of the Rio Grande river at Del Rio, Texas, by 15,000 Haitians is a reminder that the most prophetic novel of the last half century was the late Jean Raspail’s 1973 book The Camp of the Saints about a million third-worlders landing on the beaches of France, and whites being unable to summon the will to be so racist as to turn them away.
Do American leaders still believe that they have the moral right to protect the territory of the American people by force? Or will we unilaterally disarm in the Scramble for America?

Young investors have a new strategy: watching financial disclosures of sitting members of Congress for stock tips.
Among a certain community of individual investors on TikTok, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s stock trading disclosures are a treasure trove. “Shouts out to Nancy Pelosi, the stock market’s biggest whale,” said user ‘ceowatchlist.’ Another said, “I’ve come to the conclusion that Nancy Pelosi is a psychic,” while adding that she is the “queen of investing.”
“She knew,” declared Chris Josephs, analyzing a particular trade in Pelosi’s financial disclosures. “And you would have known if you had followed her portfolio.”
Last year, Josephs noticed that the trades, actually made by Pelosi’s investor husband and merely disclosed by the speaker, were performing well.

Illegal immigrants who were camped out under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas, revolted against customs agents and took control of a federally contracted bus.
The Washington Examiner reported that Haitian migrants in custody hijacked the bus on Monday as it was en route from Del Rio to San Antonio. They then escaped custody.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Customs and Border Protection agency did not respond to the Examiner‘s requests for comment, though ICE confirmed to Local 23 news that “several individuals attempted to flee the bus and were able to escape for some time.”

The girls on Afghanistan’s national soccer team were anxious. For weeks, they had been moving around the country, waiting for word that they could leave.
One wants to be a doctor, another a movie producer, others engineers. All dream of growing up to be professional soccer players.
Then the message finally came early Sunday: A charter flight would carry the girls and their families from Afghanistan — to where they didn’t know. The buses that would take them to the airport were already on their way.
“They left their homes and left everything behind,” Farkhunda Muhtaj, the captain of the Afghanistan women’s national team who from her home in Canada had spent the last few weeks communicating with the girls and working to help arrange their rescue, told The Associated Press. “They can’t fathom that they’re out of Afghanistan.”

ZMan smells a rat.
magine if at your place of work, you began to suspect that many of your coworkers were members of a secret organization. At first you notice that when one has an idea, all of them suddenly adopt it. One day one will use a turn of phrase and then all of them are using it, as if on command. They display no outward expression of membership in a secret group, but their behavior suggests they are controlled by the same source, or they are coordinated by some unknown actor.
This would have been the experience of Donald Trump when he took office. He knew, of course, that many of the people he inherited were loyalists to the Bush crime family or the Clinton crime family. That was part of his campaign, rooting out these people as bad for the American people. What he did not understand is that even the people who appeared to support him in Washington were part of an informal club. The Bush and Clinton clans were just manifestations of this secret club.
That seems farfetched, but take a look at this post in Politico about what they call “the secretive consulting firm that’s become Biden’s Cabinet in waiting”. The short version of it is that a “consulting firm” operated as a shadow administration while the Democrats were out of power. When Biden was installed, in was from this shadow government that he picked key appointees. The source of funding for what amounts to a secret society is not mentioned, but it is not hard to guess.
I love the smell of conspiracy in the morning.

Just days after House members returned to Capitol Hill from their August recess, Michigan Democrat Haley Stevens skipped hearings on President Joe Biden’s record-setting budget to take a vacation.
Fresh from a month-long recess, Stevens married software engineer Rob Gulley in a September 3 ceremony. According to the Democrat’s wedding registry, the couple planned to “head up north right after the wedding” and accepted cash contributions to fund “boating, couples massage, [and] dinner” on the honeymoon.
The trip coincided with two House Committee on Education and Labor markup sessions during which members voted on an array of amendments to Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending plan. Stevens, who has served on the committee since she joined Congress in 2019, missed votes on at least a dozen amendments, including one that would prohibit funds in the bill from going to universities that host Chinese government-funded Confucius Institutes.
Stevens did not return a request for comment.
