There are new reports saying Yemen’s Houthis have knocked out several underwater telecommunications cables linking Europe and Asia, however, some of the accounts of the extent of damage remain conflicting.

Multiple Israeli publications are reporting Monday that four underwater communications cables between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti have been damaged in recent months – the result of Houthi sabotage. The reporting appears to have originated in Israel’s financial daily outlet Globes.

Reaching over six miles in length, the tunnel lies beneath both the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital and Israa University, the military said in a release. It added that Hamas used the tunnel to move terrorists between parts of the enclave.

London’s Metropolitan Police announced that they “strongly believe” they have found the body of the migrant linked to last month’s Clapham chemical attack. The body was discovered in the Thames on Monday, following a three-week manhunt for convicted sex offender Abdul Shokoor Ezedi.

Controversy erupted when it emerged that Ezedi was allowed to stay in Britain despite having a criminal record after exposing himself to a woman at a bus stop. Had he been deported rather than being granted ‘leave to remain,’ he could not have instigated the Clapham attack.

Court documents revealed the basis of Ezedi’s two convictions, including a sexual assault where he “intentionally touched” a woman in 2017 and a second charge, seen by The Daily Telegraph, of indecent exposure “intending that someone would see … and be caused alarm or distress.”

The EU has passed a migration pact dubbed “the suicide of Europe” which could lead to the continent being flooded with as many as 75 million new migrants.

The European Parliament’s LIBE committee passed the act on Wednesday, which formalizes the distribution of migrants to member states and punishes those that refuse to take them.

She was hungry for her ham and mashed potatoes, but she was not allowed to have them.

After a group of migrants gang-raped a 13-year-old girl in Italy, CNN responded by expressing concern about how it might help the “far-right.”

The girl was raped in front of her boyfriend in a public park in the Sicilian city of Catania.

Officially, the Palestinian Authority works with Israel to crack down on terror groups in the West Bank. But off-duty PA security forces have carried out dozens of attacks on Israelis, according to a watchdog group.

An investigation by Palestinian Media Watch, the nonprofit watchdog based in Jerusalem, documented at least 55 attacks by PA security forces against Israeli soldiers or civilians since 2020, including four in the past month alone. In each case, the PA or its ruling Fatah party has eulogized the attacker as one of their own “soldiers.”

The findings reveal the extent to which the PA, the internationally recognized Palestinian government in Ramallah, encourages and rewards terrorism against Israel—even in its own ranks. For Israel, such activity proves the folly of the Biden administration’s demand that a “revitalized” PA be allowed to govern Gaza following Israel’s war against Hamas, the rival Palestinian faction that rules the territory.

Iran test fired advanced ballistic missiles on Tuesday in a series of war drills meant to prepare the Islamic Republic for a strike on Israeli military sites that house American-made F-35 fighter jets, according to the country’s state-controlled media.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is behind a series of recent strikes on American and Israeli positions across the Middle East, “simulated destroying hangars housing the Israeli regime’s United States-procured F-35 warplanes by using ballistic missiles,” according to information about the drills published in Tehran’s official media outlets.

During the war simulation, the IRGC fired “enhanced versions of its Emad and Qadr ballistic missiles against the F-35 hangars located inside a mock-up of the Tel Aviv regime’s Palmachim Airbase,” located just outside of the major Israeli city. Iran claims its missiles are capable of striking deep into Israel and are capable of traveling more than 1,000 miles.

On Wednesday, February 7th, French Justice Minister Éric Dupont-Moretti announced the arrival on French soil of the terrorist Salah Abdeslam, who until then had been imprisoned in Belgium, to serve an “irreducible life imprisonment” (perpétuité incompressible)—a penalty that does not exist in Belgium. The Brussels Court of Appeal ruled that this sentence was inhumane and degrading, and the convicted man’s defence raised this as a question of “rule of law.”

Born in Belgium, Salah Abdeslam is a jihadist of French nationality and Moroccan origin who grew up in the Molenbeek district of Brussels—often described as a breeding ground for terrorists. Affiliated with the Islamic State, he played a decisive role in the attacks in Paris on 13 November 2015, which cost the lives of 131 people.

After taking part in the attack on the Bataclan and the shootings targeting the Parisian terraces on the evening of 13 November 2015, he found refuge in Belgium, where he was arrested after several months on the run. He was also involved in the attacks in Brussels in March 2016, and since then has been alternately tried by the French and Belgian judicial authorities.

An Al Jazeera journalist secretly worked for Hamas on the side, serving as a “prominent commander” in the terrorist group’s anti-tank missile units before being promoted to a research-focused role, the Israel Defense Forces said on Sunday.

As part of its “Standing Together Against Hate” initiative, MIT is slated to hold a March 18 talk on Islamophobia featuring Boston University antibigotry fellow Dalia Mogahed. While MIT says the talk will help “bring our community together” by addressing “real tension between some groups and individuals,” Mogahed’s hostile rhetoric toward the Jewish state suggests her speech will have the opposite effect.

The Biden administration on Friday paused U.S. funding to the controversial United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) following allegations that employees of the agency were involved in Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre.

“The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them,” State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said.

The announcement came after UNRWA on Friday said it opened an investigation into several employees suspected of involvement in the Oct. 7 attacks against Israel and that it had severed ties with those staff members.

Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Beltrame died at the hands of terrorists in the Islamist attacks in Trèbes and Carcassonne in March 2018 after exchanging himself for a hostage. The freed hostage explained that she had found faith through the sacrifice of Lieutenant-Colonel Beltrame.

The trial opened on Monday, January 22nd, in Paris, and is due to last a month. It involves trying those involved in terrorist attacks that took place on 23 March 2018, in the south of France—in Aude, Carcassonne, and in a supermarket in the town of Trèbes, a few kilometres away.

The terrorist, Radouane Ladkim, was a Moroccan, naturalised French in 2004. His hostage-taking was motivated by the demand for the release of Salah Abdeslam, who was involved in the Bataclan attacks in Paris in 2015. Ladkim entered a supermarket and initially took a young cashier, Julie Grand, hostage before freeing her at the request of Lieutenant-Colonel Beltrame, who took her place—against all the usual procedures.

In a shocking twist, five police officers are being forced to pay a fine to a Syrian migrant who was convicted for severely injuring one of them during riots related to a Quran burning during Easter of 2022.

The officers will have to pay out a total of 12,650 Swedish crowns (€1,122) from their own pockets to the 45-year-old convicted Syrian who has been sentenced to two years and seven months for his role in the riots.

He added that terrorists who killed his son launched a missile and three grenades at him and abused the corpse. Tahar also said that he saw on a CT scan that his son’s body was full of shrapnel.

After he buried his son, Tahar embarked on a months-long search for the head, asking “everyone I could” for answers. In his investigation, he also found a video that showed his son’s body without the head during the attacks.

The use of tunnels in wars is not new. Seeking advantages by using either natural or man-made spaces underground is as ancient as warfare itself—from stories of tunnels being used to win massive battles in the bible to underground spaces becoming key factors to urban battles, like Mariupol and Bakhmut, in the ongoing war in Ukraine. Modern nations including the United States, China, and North Korea invest billions in deep-buried military bunkers and tunnel complexes. But what Israel has faced in Gaza represents a unique first in war—namely, a case in which tunnels form one of two pillars, along with time, of a combatant’s political-military strategy.

Before the Israel-Hamas war, both the presence of Hamas tunnel networks and their growth over the years were very well known. The network was referred to as Gaza’s “Metro” or “lower Gaza.” The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and scholars estimated before the war that there were three hundred miles of tunnels ranging from fifteen feet to over two hundred feet below the surface. The estimates were wrong.

After three months of close combat and discovering over 1,500 tunnel shafts and underground passages, the IDF has learned enough to require the estimates to be revised. Israeli forces have unearthed massive invasion tunnels two and a half miles long, underground manufacturing plants, luxury tunnels with painted walls, tile floors, ceiling fans, and air conditioning, and a complex, layered, labyrinth underneath all areas of Gaza. The new estimates say the network may include between 350 and 450 miles of tunnels, with close to 5,700 separate shafts descending into hell.

Parliament isn’t too far from the Port of Dover, but it feels as though it’s on another planet. While Tory ‘rebels’ again laid down their knives on Wednesday to back a bill designed to deter illegal migration, around 200 people crossed the English Channel in small boats in challenging conditions.

Rishi Sunak’s Safety of Rwanda Bill passed comfortably in the House of Commons last night, with just 11 Tory MPs voting against, despite many more complaining that it is nowhere near tough enough. The bill, which will now be sent to the House of Lords for further scrutiny, is designed to overturn legal objections to sending illegal migrants to Rwanda for processing by declaring the African nation “safe.” The government succeeded in fighting down amendments which would have made it more difficult for future deportations to be blocked in the courts.

This is a definite victory for the prime minister and should stave off talk on the need for new Tory leadership, for now. But it is unlikely to have any real impact on the continuing Channel crisis, which Migration Watch UK Chairman Alp Mehmet, told The European Conservative will carry on regardless.

In a following video, a young “French” woman gives her followers a crash course on how to game the French welfare system in order to make as much money as possible without ever having to work.

There’s no indication of the young lady’s ethnicity, and with her burka and hoodie it’s hard to determine much about her appearance. She speaks rapid, clipped French, which may help a native French-speaker identify her background. I can usually understand at least a little bit of a French-language video, but in this one I was lucky to pick out one word in ten, even with the French text right there on the screen.

So I’m betting she’s a culture-enricher, eager to milk the kuffar for everything she can get.
