The prospect of \u201cTaxmageddon\u201d (massive tax increases scheduled for the beginning of 2013), coupled with rising government spending that will crowd out private investment over the long run, is not a good omen. \u201cWelfare is now the largest item in the federal budget, and under Barack Obama\u2019s budget \u2013 the one that didn\u2019t get any votes, but may nevertheless be a blueprint for the next four years \u2013 it is slated to grow another 30% in Obama\u2019s second term.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>My, what a surprise!
