The NBC producer got taken out by conservatives and now, for some strange reason, NR\u2018s John Derbyshire just volunteers himself as a target for the Left?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s a dirty job but somebody&#8217;s got to do it. Since Derb turned up with cancer perhaps he&#8217;s looking for a grenade to fall on.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>One\u00a0problem I\u2019ve discovered in trying to communicate with intellectuals is that so many of them are wimps from sheltered backgrounds whose mamas wouldn\u2019t let them play football \u2014 apple-polishing goodie-two-shoes who never strayed outside the confines of their safe, wholesome, upwardly-mobile affluent cocoon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, that matches my experience. Couple of years in the military would straighten them out &#8212; but usually that sort of thing is too yucky for them, so they just stay drones.
