Very ironic when you consider that they were all Democrats.

Even more ironic when you consider that it was the election of a Republican President that triggered secession.

    The true irony is that they were memorialized in the nation’s capitol to begin with.

    Democrats are the party of irony. (Also corruption and machine politics.) If history is inconvenient, hey, pretend that it never existed. Down the Memory Hole!
