Of all the books that were required reading in my school days, Lord of the Flies stands out as the one I hated most. (Yes, even more than Silas Marner.) Now there’s a big contraversy about an all-female movie based on the book. How much worse could it possibly be?
The only way to make it worse would be to turn it into a musical and present it “on ice”. That could be used to torture Al Qaida prisoners.
