It’s the lower lip, which is completely from someone’s imagination. There is no way to reconstruct what a lip looked like from forensic remains.
Still, give him a shave and a haircut and you wouldn’t think twice if you saw him on the street. I doubt, however, that this will debunk the popular misconception that Neanderthals looked something akin to Bobo the gorilla.
