The Best Education Is Free

The best education in the world is already free of charge. Just go to the best university in the world and start attending classes. Stay as long as you want, and study everything that interests you. No one will ever “card” you. The only problem is that, no matter how much you learn, there won’t be any record you were ever there.
Universities don’t sell education, they sell credentials. But that’s okay, because employers don’t care about education, they care about credentials. ‘The way she sees and the way he looks, it’s a perfect match.’

I wish people would stop confusing education with paper credentials. The days are gone forever when you actually had to attend school to get an education, and everyone knows it, whether or not they will admit it. (The professor who wrote this article is refreshingly honest, but he is a rarity.) Employers require paper credentials because they are not allowed to require prospective employees to pass an intelligence test — any attempt to do so would open them up to charges of racism and expensive lawsuits from race hustlers.
