We have seen the future, and it sucks.

74% Pakistanis Consider United States an Enemy Country

Read it.

So why do we keep sending them money? I’m hoping it’s stupidity rather than treason.*

* ‘Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.’

Well, that seems fair considering that probably 74% of Americans consider Pakistan an Enemy Country. Include me in that percentage.

And we keep sending them money because we have to keep saying ‘nice doggy’ until we clean the Afghan shit off our boots. Then we’ll be able to look around for a rock. But we probably won’t. We have a long and lamentable history of sending money to folks that wish us nothing but ill.

Dennis is correct, most sane Americans and most sane Pakistanis consider their nations to be enemies. One doesn’t do SEAL and Drone attacks in a country of one’s friends, and one doesn’t support, supply, and fund the enemies of one’s friends.
