    As long as children go hungry in this country, we cannot afford to waste money on loans to college students. Feed a child, not a professor!

    Ah, but you’re missing the (conservative) point: If you give a student a loan for a college degree, he/she will be able to feed his/her children, and they won’t go hungry.

    If you make a man a fire, he’ll be warm for a day. If you set a man on fire, he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.
