According to the Census Bureau’s 2010 American Community Survey, the majors that give you the best chance of reaching the 1 percent are pre-med, economics, biochemistry, zoology and, yes, biology, in that order.

And there you have it.

    Those surveys are completely wrong. Yes, there are some degrees that will generate higher income upon graduation, but most of the CEOs have BA degrees that wouldn’t qualify a graduate to sell shoes. They may start out low, but when Daddy promotes them to VP for their 25th birthday, they’ll start out earning those biochemists who spent all those long nights studying.
