“Freedom has failed.” The question unasked is: Failed for whom? For those exercising it, or for those who mistakenly believe that maximum personal freedom will lead to a result they desire?
That’s the funny thing about individual freedom; it won’t always give you the result you want, much like communism doesn’t necessarily lead to a Worker’s Utopia.
A True Libertarian would merely shrug, say, “Yeah, that’s gonna happen sometimes,” and move on.

That’s the Democrat position, huh? Somehow it doesn’t surprise me. Although it does provide a certain continuity with pre-1965 Democrat policies.
