Apparently I’m not the only person irritated by certain common practices on the part of newspaper sites.

    It is funny to read the articles on-line because it allows people to comment. For example, the Houston Chronically Wrong today carried a story in which they referred to “Jewish” as a language. Lots of great comments that you’ll never see in the print edition.

    I wonder if they just mirror the public education system. Like 75% is a passing grade and that’s about the percentage of any story that they get right. Maybe in their minds, it’s more important that they feel good about themselves than actually get the facts (and grammar!) straight.
