One man’s journey into darkness. To be fair, one ought to bear in mind that Windows 7 is a full-blown workstation operating system, whereas the iOS on the iPad is a stripped-down operating system deliberately tuned to that particular device; and to be completely fair, one ought to point out that, if the game company no longer exists, the prospect of there being an iPad edition of the game in question is zero. But the larger point remains worth thinking about.
In a related vein, Paul Thurrott has a very fine rant on why Microsoft ought to get out of the consumer space, including games, entirely.
