DYSPEPSIA GENERATION

We have seen the future, and it sucks.

Adams Model of Personal Interaction

26th July 2010

Scott Adams lives in a Crustian world all his own.

People change modes depending on circumstances. A parent, for example, can’t afford to be a Pushover, or a Negotiator, with a small child. The parental role is a Bully role by definition. It’s the only way it can work. “Do what I say or I will take away a toy.”

And if the child doesn’t have a toy to take away, what then? Perhaps a time-out? I don’t know about Scott, but when I was a child, some time away by myself, with nobody pestering me, was worth rubies and gold.

It would appear that, in Scott’s world, losing a toy is the worst that could happen. How would Scott fare in the “Do what I say or I will cut off your hand” world of Islam? Inquiring minds want to know.
