Jerry Pournelle has something to say about “consensus science”.

Apparently I’m not the only one to have noticed the herd mentality at New Scientist magazine.

    Jerry Pournell does write some fine science fiction, but isn’t “consensus science” another name for the bandwagon fallacy? Wasn’t it “consensus science” reasponsible for excommunicating Galileo and banning Copernicus’s books?
