• 1) Politics: The surest way to get rich in America is to join the political class. Don’t be put off by the running-for-office bit. That’s just the part of the Leviathan that extends beyond the surface. There are literally tens of thousands of jobs working for politicians that afford an enterprising person the chance to get rich. Rahm Emmanuel is the poster child. Ballet Major ? Political Aide ? Political Advisor ? Patronage Job in the Financial Services Racket ? Congressman ? Chief of Staff ? ??? He will make millions more after he leaves the White House, despite never having had a real job.
