One Response to “Is There Anybody Who Actually Breaks Beer Bottles During Bar Fights?”
I do know of a case where a guy hit someone in the face with a beer bottle. The bottle shattered and cut the guy up really bad. Sent to jail for that.
The bar fights I witnessed in my misspent youth were not at all like the great blowouts in Westerns. Either someone punched and knocked the opponent out immediately or the couple of guys involved were pretty much wrestling and getting in a few close range punches before getting tossed.
I was at a concert at a club in Houston many years ago and a bunch of fights broke out for reasons completely unknown. The bouncers were all huge guys and they tossed people out the door just like in the old movies – often using the fighter’s head to open the door before tossing him. The concert was eventually stopped because someone got stabbed in the parking lot – again, I have no idea why. Just remembered the band, Molly Hatchet.
