It’s not Obamacare. If one is so inclined one can plot the skyrocketing cost of health care on a timeline along with Medicare reimbursement rates. Currently Medicare is paying about 12 percent of the amounts billed, the rest is bad debt that gets added onto everybody else’s bills.
Medicare (and Medicaid) were the precursors of Obamacare, and are subject to the same defects.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money — this is already happening with Medicare and Medicaid and is starting to happen with Obamacare. The statists, of course, insist that the fix is to go Full Socialist and have a government-run system, as in Britain or Canada. That will merely make the collapse happen sooner.
