And about fargin time, too.
It will be fascinating to read and view the mainstream media’s treatment of the dead dictator. I wonder to what extent the MSM, which wants to resist “normalizing” Donald Trump, will normalize the Cuban tyrant and his regime, as President Obama has done to some extent. I expect we will see at least a few stories in the “he did some good things; he did some bad things, but what a giant he was” mode.
They will praise him for doing things he didn’t do (but they wish he had) and ignore the things he did do (and they wish he hadn’t). The DemLegHump Media will sufficiently full of Fake News during this next month to choke a Facebook.

A conservative effort to organize a protest against Target’s transgender bathroom policies was shut down by the company hosting its website Thursday, in an effort to oppose “hate” and support “diversity.”
Funny how this never works against the various web sites organizing protests against, say, Donald Trump.

“Mazin AbdulAdhim, a prominent Imam of Iraqi descent in London, Ontario who is affiliated with the radical Islamic global movement of Hizb ut-Tahrir, says in reference to ISIS foiled suicide attack west of London on August 10, 2016, that Muslims should not feel pressured to apologize for actions that they are not responsible for. He maintained that the ‘crimes against humanity’ committed by the West are far more worse than the attacks carried out by individuals.”

One of the more credible sounding proponents of the habit is Scott Napper, a professor of biochemistry who made waves around the world’s media outlets in 2013 when he half-heartedly proposed to a group of his students that eating one’s boogers allows our bodies to safely develop anti-bodies to the weakened pathogens present in our snot and noses. He also suggested that the reason boogers have a sugary taste is to entice children to eat them, thus helping bolster their immune systems… It’s evolution. You can’t fight it.

It’s easy to buy eyeglasses online. No, you don’t have to call up a website and say “better” and “worse” when they show you blurry pictures. Nonetheless, turning my back on the glasses store felt like a divorce. I’m leaving you. I can’t take it anymore. You want something from me I just can’t give you, and that’s $300 for a few ounces of wire.

The Stanford researchers behind the study evaluated 7,804 students from a very wide variety of backgrounds in 12 U.S. states. Some students attended hardscrabble city schools in Los Angeles, for example. Others attended schools in middle-class Minnesota suburbs. Some were enrolled at Stanford, an elite university with an acceptance rate under 6 percent.
“When it comes to evaluating information that flows through social media channels,” the researchers behind the study wrote, these kids today are “easily duped.”
With results as you see them. Some never grow out of it, and wind up being employed by the DemLegHump Media.

This is what happens when people spend their lives breathing their own exhaust. ‘Sky is falling. Women and minorities hardest hit.’
They’re going to look very foolish spending the next four years looking for concentration camps and not finding any.

President-elect Donald Trump promised Americans that he would “build a great wall” and make Mexico pay for this proposed border barricade between the two countries. On Wednesday, a Mexican cement manufacturer says he wants to help Trump build it.
The CEO of Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) wants to bid on any contract to build thebarrier to illegal immigration.
Enrique Escalante told Reuters, “We can’t be choosy. We’re an important producer in that area and we have to respect our clients on both sides of the border.”

To write on spag bol is to wade into a mire of controversy thicker and darker than any ragu that ever came out of nonna’s kitchen. People feel very strongly indeed about what is, basically, a meat sauce of no more particular merit than, say, a shepherd’s pie, or a chilli, to the extent that, earlier this year, a group of Italian chefs organised a worldwide day of action to promote the “authentic” recipe, as laid down by the Academia Italiana della Cucina back in 1982.
The event was billed as a protest against the “improbable concoctions” served under the name around the globe, with a spokesman decrying the “remarkable variety of ingredients” that defiled his beloved bolognese – including cream. That’s cream, as used by the well-respected Italian cookery teacher and writer Ursula Ferrigno, and the rather less Italian, but pretty reliable Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
Hey, it’s Thanksgiving — we’re talkin’ food here.

The Other McCain lays out some inconvenient truth.
Donald Trump got 61% of the vote in this county, winning it by a margin of 40,000 votes. Considering that Trump’s statewide margin in Florida was only 120,000 votes, that means he got a third of his win right here.
We can explain this in four words: Rich, old, white people.
…
While progressives are trying to frighten people with the “Alt-Right” bogeyman, there are no neo-Nazis marching down the palm-tree-lined streets here. Trump won Florida by getting the votes of the same kind of people who always Republican — not angry skinheads, just regular middle-class people and, of course, old white folks with money.
…
Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) have engaged in a ludicrous fear-mongering crusade intended to convince people that Trump’s election is a foreboding omen of incipient fascism, where roaming squads of Republican storm troopers will soon be rounding up Jews and homosexuals. Yet there is no rational basis for such political paranoia. The voters who elected Trump are not neo-Nazis. Most of them are the same people who would have voted Republican no matter who had won the GOP nomination, and they expect President Trump to implement a conservative policy agenda which, although it might not please Gender Studies majors or #BlackLivesMatter activists, is unlikely to justify the “Dark Nightmare of Neo-Fascism” persecution fantasies of the radical Left.
Somebody needs to tell these young kids the truth, i.e., your Republican grandma is not a Nazi, and Trump is not Hitler. Also, while we’re speaking truth, capitalism works and socialism fails, and maybe if you kids would stop moping and whining about how “oppressed” you are, you could get a real job, save your money, and 40 or 50 years from now, you’ll be living in sunny Florida, rich enough to vote Republican.

‘Thanksgiving’ isn’t some special thing that the Pilgrims came up with, but rather the traditional English harvest festival of Martinmas. The Pilgrims wouldn’t have called it that, of course, because they regarded saints (and their holy days) a Papistical Supersition. But they would have been familiar with the festival.
Martinmas is traditionally held on November 11, but the Pilgrims of the time used the Julian calendar, which by 2016 is 13 days off from the Gregorian calendar that we all use.
November 11 plus 13 days equals what? C’mon, let’s not always see the same hands….

I don’t pay a lot of attention to spices, but my wife, being a terrific cook, does. So she pointed out that following the election, a Wisconsin-based spice company called Penzeys has announced that it only wants customers from one side of the aisle.

It turns out that I am (or rather, my wife is) a pretty substantial Penzeys customer. She took this photo of Penzeys spices from our cupboard, which she says she will return to a local Penzeys store and explain that since they don’t want our business, she is returning their products.
Well done.
Where to go for future spice needs? It turns out that a competing spice company, The Spice House, is now promoting the fact that it stays out of politics and welcomes everyone’s business.

Bringing to school the latest book in the bestselling children’s book series on American history, “Adventures of Rush Revere,” written by Rush Limbaugh (with his wife Kathryn). The book, just published, is Rush Revere and the Presidency.
As Matt, the boy’s father, explained to Vicki during her November 18 afternoon (Madison) show, school officials in Marshall, Wisconsin, regard anything written by Rush Limbaugh as “inappropriate material” — even though the series has received rave reviews, and Rush won the 2013 “Author of the Year” award at the Children’s Choice Book Awards, for his first book in the series.
This is what ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’ looks like in Barack Obama’s America.

News from the Whitest City in America.
Portland promised to find affordable homes for displaced blacks, but for some reason those blacks aren’t too thrilled with the 387-square-foot condos the city has offered them. The city is making the condos available to families earning less than $47,000 a year, with priority given to people displaced by gentrification (which is often subsidized by the city’s urban-renewal agency).
Such people will be welcome to buy these condos for a mere $164,000, or nearly $425 a square foot. Such a deal, especially considering many of the displaced people were living in single-family homes several times the size of the condos, and that such homes in places without urban-growth boundaries would cost half of what the city wants for its “affordable” condos.
For some reason, the displaced people aren’t showing much interest in the tiny condos. Donald Trump won the votes of working-class whites who felt oppressed by the elites, but this shows elites can oppress urban blacks just as much as rural whites.

Active killer events most often occur at soft targets. A soft target is a location where the victim pool isn’t likely to have the capacity or willingness to fight back. If your policy is to encourage violent resistance to evil, then evil will, in most cases, seek an easier target. That means the politicos have to be willing to give up control and admit they cannot protect everyone all the time and relinquish responsibility for personal safety to the individual.
